Buffalo Horn Deep Scalp and Hair Growth Stimulating Massaging Tool
I am thrilled to add these beautiful completely natural horn Deep Scalp Massaging tools to my range. Just like our impressive Premium Horn Combs made solely of 100% natural buffalo horn, these carefully hand-carved scalp massaging tools are made from a single large buffalo horn. Firstly, a suitably thick horn has to be located, and secondly, it has to be combined with truly accomplished carving techniques - with a finesse apt to carve a circle of robust nodes into a single, flush, beautiful piece of hair grooming art.
Featuring 6-8 perfectly smooth nodes for a deeper, more thorough scalp manipulation and stimulation, and perfect for effectively targeting the constellation of acupressure/meridian points that traverse this typically neglected area, every piece is unique and one of a kind, with exact shape and colourations reflecting the unique horn that was carved and polished. Spend a few minutes everyday waking up your scalp, and the forest of hair that is endeavouring to optimally grow there. This effective tool is designed to be used on completely dry hair, or with a touch of natural hair oil, and can fit into any schedule, when you are at your desk working, going for a stroll, when you are relaxing on the couch, or sunbathing at the beach.
Melt away stress and prohibitive scalp tension with an effective scalp head massage that refreshes your mood and helps increase blood and lymphatic circulation all across the scalp, bringing increased blood flow and nutrients to the hair follicle, where previously proper delivery was curtailed. This unique horn tool not only stimulates the 1st and 2nd layers of the scalp, it also targets the all important 3rd layer of the scalp - the Galea Aponeurotica, the strong tissue sheet that connects the frontalis muscle to the occipitalis muscle. The stimulation of this 3rd layer maximally alleviates and liberate muscle tension and scalp tautness, allowing for maximal blood flow, hair food and regrowth factors to circulate as they should, while lymph juices and waste products are decongested out and away via the correct detox channels.
After 5-10 mins off massage you will feel your scalp waking up, and the whole area will have increased warmth and radiance as increased blood flow has moved into the area. As you begin your new massage routine with this wonderful tool, it is very common for the scalp to feel a little tender during and after the initial treatment sessions. This is partly due to the opening up of the detox and nutritive pathways, combined with the area getting activated for the first time in years, decades even, and our tissues acclimatising to the sensation of the wonderfully rejuvenating pressure. After a week or so, this mild tenderness will subside.
Dimensions are approx 7cm high and 4 cm across - compact and convenient to go in any size bag.
Traditional horn combs and scalp massaging implements have been used for thousands of years. Just like our own hair, they are naturally made of the protein keratin and assist in strengthening, thickening and conditioning our hair and hair bulb/follicle. As a result of like-on-like, the keratin horn combs simply glide through the hair better and many people notice that they make hair shinier. Unlike plastic combs, horn combs do not trap static electricity, which causes fly-away hairs, but more importantly, an unbalanced electrical charge across the hair - from root to tip, which can interfere with healthy growth.

More Information
All of the buffalo horns our artisans use come from their local regions of Guangxi, Guangdong and Yunnan provinces, China.
The buffalos in question are all water buffalos, and they spend their lives outdoors, roaming around large areas, including streams, fertile fields and mixed forest. The buffalos themselves are a massive part of traditional Chinese rural life, and in these areas, this has not changed. Locals depend on them for their livelihoods and the buffalo are cherished by by all generations within these communities, especially as they add so much to the cohesion and vitality of these village communities.
Animals are never killed for their horns; the buffalos either die of natural causes or are used by the entire village for their meat. In these prudent societies, every part of the animal is used, and nothing goes to waste. The horns are a valuable side commodity and are sold to local artisans nearby who produce these wonderful artisanal hair tools for us.
