Important note: do not accept fakes. Fake shilajit is unfortunately rife. Just like with honey and olive oil, so much of the shilajit on the market, upwards of 85% today, is fake or adulterated, and extremely often, ascribed to popular mountain ranges it absolutely does not originate from. Fake shilajit can come in many forms, but is typically made from Ozokerite, coal, charcoal, fulvic acid fertilisers (designed for the agricultural industry), or even microplastic-ridden resins, all which have different degrees of toxicity ascribed to them, and, needless to say, none of the incredible benefits that are ascribed to authentic wild-harvested shilajit - the likes of which we have been proudly supplying to 1000s of highly satisfied customers, worldwide.

What is Shilajit?

Shilajit is a completely water-soluble black resin exudation that naturally develops slowly, over millennia, via the organic decomposition of medicinal plants, ancient vegetation and other pristine humic biomass that collects and builds up in the cracks and crevices of certain auspicious mountain locations. Over hundreds and thousands of years, through probiotic and anaerobic breakdown, strong sun, wind and impeccably clean air, shilajit gradually takes on its dark black resinous form - true alchemy in action. Shilajit contains a rich suite of over 250 compounds, is very well tolerated with an exceptionally high bioavailability for quick nutritional uptake into the cells. It is so deeply fortifying that it is known traditionally as "the destroyer of weakness” and contains more than 84 minerals, including many macro and trace minerals that are in short supply within the modern diet and with agricultural products, even organic produce. Shilajit is extremely rich in fulvic and humic compounds, often named as master antioxidants due to their tiny size, intrinsic potency and ability to both hydrate the cell and quench free radical activity. How to use and Dosage: 
Daily dosage: 1g per day - dissolve a quarter or third teaspoon in a warm/hot drink, such as a herbal tea or hot chocolate and enjoy immediately. 
You can also dissolve in warm water. Shilajit also dissolves readily in room temperature or cold water, it just takes a little longer to do so. Regardless of how you choose to take it, you can also choose to split the dose up into 2 x 0.5g doses across the day. If you are new to genuine shilajit resin, we suggest you start off at a half dose of 0.5g (500mg) for a few days to a week, to allow your body to acclimatise to its tonifying effects. This will look like approx 1/6 of a teaspoon or a small pea size amount. 


For athletes/adventurers and those living particularly demanding lifestyles, we recommend building up to a daily dose of 2g per day. You will absolutely appreciate the additional support.


In Drinks:

Simply stir one quarter to one third of a teaspoon of shilajit into a glass/mug of something warming, whether that is, at its simplest, just a glass of hot water, or a herbal tea. Shilajit also lends itself well to vegan or dairy milk hot drinks like a nice mug of hot chocolate. In fact, the earthy taste of shilajit pairs very well with cacao. 

In Food:

At its simplest, right off the spoon and dissolved in the mouth. Chased down with a little water, fresh juice, tea, or even organic brandy. 
Aside from that, shilajit lends its nutritional profile, earthiness and texture, to numerous recipes, including energy balls, brownie cakes, even breads.

General note:
Shilajit is thick and dense in the jar, but it dissolves readily in the mouth or inside a warm liquid (a sign of its fast acting absorption and bioavailability).  To easily remove the shilajit resin from the jar, especially in the colder months, simply put a spoon in hot or boiling water for 10 seconds, dry the spoon and scoop out your shilajit.
