Golden Sun-dried St Lucian Sea Moss - Naturally Grown in Protected, Nutrient-rich Waters
75g Sun-dried Golden St Lucian Sea Moss. Each pack is enough to make 6 jars of Sea Moss gel. We are thrilled to launch this brand new addition to our acclaimed, impeccably sourced Radiant Revolutions range.
Our world class sea moss is naturally grown in the stunning protected, nutrient-rich tides of St Lucia, where the warm, incredibly clear, shallow waters provide ideal conditions for the optimal growth of this highly acclaimed, deeply nutritious and multi-talented seaweed. Unlike many other sea moss providers which kiln-dry, our Golden Sea Moss is naturally sun-dried to preserve its potency and exceptional repertoire of nutrients. Our Golden Sea Moss produces an exceptional quality sea moss gel, and we especially offer our packs of sea moss for the purposes of creating this deeply nourishing and beautifying gel.
Sea moss gel is like a clear tasteless yoghurt, that can be easily eaten directly off the spoon, by the tablespoon, or mixed into smoothies, even made into a myriad of frozen goodies. We recommend 3 tablespoons of sea moss gel everyday, but you can easily eat more, it is just food, after all.
Sea moss gel is an ultra-bio-available source of 90+ essential minerals including sulphur, magnesium, potassium, calcium, and zinc and a wealth of essential traces. These nutrients support a wide range of bodily functions such as immunity, bone health, digestion, and energy production.
Recommended sea moss gel dose: we recommend 3 tablespoons of gel be consumed daily. Each pack is enough to make 10 jars of Sea Moss gel.
How to make your sea moss gel.
Making sea moss gel couldn't be easier. There are two main methods. Regardless of which method you choose, the initial step always involves washing your sea moss well in clean water to remove any dehydrated salt crystals.
Raw Method.
Simply soak 12-13g sea moss in 500ml of pure water for 12 - 24 hours to allow the sea moss to fully hydrate. Then blend for 20 seconds or so (depends on blender) until smooth. Simply jar up in a good sized glass jar (750ml to 1litre) and keep in the fridge.
Simmering Method.
This is the more common method, especially for face mask and hair use, as it is does not contain so much of the seaweed solid or fibre. Bring a pan of 700ml of water up to the boil, turn down to a low setting, add your 7-8g sea moss, and let simmer for 10-12 minutes with the lid on. After that time strain the sea moss into a glass jug or bowl to separate the sea moss fibre, which you can eat also, or fine chop in meals, so nothing is ever wasted.
When you strain the sea moss liquid, it will look like the sea moss gel has not been successful, but as soon as this cools down enough to transfer into your glass jar, you will see this thicken up considerably. Transport into your glass jar and put into the refrigerator, the gel will continue to solidify, and a few hours later, your gel will be ready for use. If the gel is a little too thick or thin for your use, simply amend the water you add next time.
Regardless of your method, sea moss gel keeps for 2-3 weeks when refrigerated in a glass jar.
Each pack contains 75g of Sun-dried Sea Moss and nothing else.
